It’s worth it in the end
It’s days like these that make me love what I do.
So I am sure I did everything wrong, from cleaning out the medicines (about half that I said were expired turned out not to be…) to using a slip lead. I couldn’t even get a dog into its harness.
But then, two things went right, near the end of the day. First, I got to clean out the kennels. I made them look very pretty and very comfy. Happiness bubbled in my heart :)
Number two, I walked Howdy and he listened to my nonsense babble.
Howdy is this big hound looking dog who is very stressed at the shelter. (He needs a really good home who will take him outside a lot) I took him outside and he didn’t bark and he didn’t pull at his leash. He was very good. Even the staff members commented on how well he was doing.
It’s the little things like making a dogs day that really put your day in the right direction. Hope you get adopted, Howdy!
